{ Film Review: The Young Victoria }

I watched this film today at Rialto with my girlfriends- Glennys, Kathie & June, & we all fell in love with it! we were sniffing our way out of the cinema, I should have brought my box of kleenex....but anyway I truly, highly recommend this film. It's one of the best historical movies I have ever watched- it's a tender take on Victoria's life, her love and her struggle for autonomy. It was beautifully done- the acting was superb, the costumes were authentic to the era, and how the different themes of politics, power and love were intricately blended and weaved into the story, was smoothly executed. I'm not easily impressed with films but this  made it to the top of my list. I hope you watch it, in the meantime here is the official trailer:
