The first time I saw this poster, it really made me grin from ear to ear. Five words and yet it kind of says a lot doesn't it? whoever thought of these exact words (actually it was King George the VI) really hit the nail on the spot because you know- people just tend to loose it sometimes when things go really bad- not that it solves anything of course... I find it a bit comical even but there is an embedded wisdom and sort of an assurance about it.
It can be interpreted on so many levels too. I just adore this 'quote', icon whatever you call it.
It actually is an artifact from WWII- a British propaganda poster from the year 1939 and it was issued by King George the VI to let the people know that all measures are being taken to defend the country from an imminent attack by Germany. However, it has come a long way and has become a sort of fashionable vintage icon for clothing and home decor'...
I think it's cute and thoughtful :)
A good reminder that whatever the circumstances are, life goes on. Indeed.
